Success begins here

With its Headquarters in Cape Town as well as regional and satellite offices throughout the country, Metropolitan Health Group is a dynamic, electronically advanced company specialising in healthcare administration and IT solutions for independent and open medical schemes. The company has seen exponential growth during the past decade and has won numerous awards for its products, systems and people processes.

As an employer our focus is not only on offering exciting and rewarding careers to dynamic, driven people, but also to make a real contribution to our country by offering development opportunities to our youth. Below is a summary of the programmes on offer as part of this commitment.

Graduate Development Programme (GDP)

In a bid to address the shortage of skills in our industry and to invest in the youth of South Africa in support of the National Youth Agency and other South African Government initiatives, MHG is offering self-motivated, high-achieving graduates an opportunity to enhance their leadership skills through our GDP programme.

This is a 2-year programme designed to enhance and expand the professional skills and experience of newly qualified graduates through theoretical training, coaching, mentoring and on-the-job training.

During the 2-year period, graduates will rotate among the different divisions of the company, e.g. Finance, HR and various other sections of the business in order to gain knowledge and understanding of the medical aid administration and managed health care industry.

Learnerships

MHG offers matriculants an opportunity to gain first-hand work experience in the medical aid administration and managed health care industry through a 1-year programme. In this programme learners will have access to coaches and mentors and exposure to the general office work environment.

Feeder School

Due to the client-centric nature of our business it is imperative to build a contingent of well trained and professional call centre service agents. The feeder school offers matriculants four months' training in client services and general managed health care service training. On completion of this programme, learners will go through our normal recruitment processes for permanent employment opportunities.
